We’ve talked before about how our avocado oil is simply the best on the market, with a delightful taste that’s also good for your health.
Smooth and delicious, our award-winning avocado oil is extracted using our pioneering cold-pressed method, a process that is now used around the world.
This cold-pressed method allows the oil to keep its nutrients, preventing them from being destroyed like in the traditional process which uses high heat.
The avocados we use for our oils are sourced from bio-diverse farms both here in New Zealand and in Kenya. From these farms, only the highest quality avocados are chosen to go through the extraction process.
Avocados contain more potassium than a banana, more protein than any other fruit, half the recommended daily allowance of Vitamin K, and a third of Vitamin C.
High in antioxidants, monounsaturated fats and vitamins, avocados have a wide range of health benefits, including greater heart health, anti-aging properties, and lowering insulin sensitivity.
40% Olive Oil
As familiar in kitchens around the world as salt and pepper, Olive oil is the foundation on which pan-frying is built.
And when it comes to edible oils, extra virgin olive oil might just be the healthiest option available.
It’s thought that olive oil is the reason people in the Mediterranean have such extraordinarily low rates of heart disease, arthritis, and Alzheimer’s, and even have a higher life expectancy than their European counterparts.
And just like we scoured the Earth to find the best place to grow our avocados (Kenya), we searched the best geographic location to source our olives.
The olives for our organic extra virgin olive oil are grown in the stunning mountains of the Sierra de Alcaraz, South-Eastern Spain, and are processed within hours of being picked; something that’s quite unusual for a mass-produced oil.
5% Flaxseed oil
To top off our Omega blend, we use flaxseed oil, which is also known for its many health benefits.
Containing many active and helpful compounds such as Omega-3 fatty acids, calcium and magnesium, flaxseed oil has been found to lower inflammation, improve skin, and reduce the risk of breast cancer.
We add flaxseed oil to our blend because of the taste, a clean, crisp and mildly nutty flavour, which, when added to the avocado and olive oils, creates something truly special.
