Our world-famous cold extraction process

Almost 20 years ago, Olivado pioneered the cold-pressed extraction method. This revolutionary process changed the way the industry worked, and today this method is used all over the world by oil manufacturers.

Similar to the traditional method of oil extraction, the key difference is in the temperature; we never let the heat rise above 50 degrees Celsius.

This allows the natural goodness of the fruit to survive the process, transferring into the oil which is then bottled and served in your kitchen. By using minimum heat and no chemicals, Olivado oils retain more of their original properties, including the flavour.

Of course, with the nutrients, vitamins and fats making it into the oil, they also bring with them their natural health benefits, something that’s missing from other oils.

Olivado believes in Fair Trade Practice

It may come as a surprise, but the cooking oil industry, especially in the United States, is rife with corruption. In fact, the Mafia in Italy and America have flooded the market with counterfeit oil, claiming them to be extra virgin when they are sub-par at best. It’s so bad, that in 2007, a government investigation found that only four per cent of olive oil leaving Italy, is pure Italian oil.

We buy our avocados directly from small bio-diverse farms, paying a premium set price, which allows us to bypass brokers, which guarantees the farmers a regular income.
