As pioneers of the cold-pressed extraction method for avocado oil, we are proud to create the healthiest, tastiest and purest oil on the market.
The difference between the traditional method and our cold-pressed one is simple but essential – the temperature.
During the washing, blending, and spinning stages, we are very careful not to let the temperature rise above 50° Celsius.
Using minimum heat and no chemicals allows the oil to retain its essential nutrients, including its levels of chlorophylls and carotenoids, which gives our avocado oil its gorgeous jade green colour.
Avocado oil is only as good as the avocados it’s made from, and Olivado’s avocados are of the highest quality, both rich in nutrients and taste.

Our avocado for our organic Extra Virgin Avocado Oil is grown with climate-smart, rainwater conversation techniques and we are the first cooking oil company to be carbon neutral, making a commitment to be carbon positive by 2023.
In fact, our factory in Murang’a, Kenya is on the cutting edge of sustainable practices thanks to the Olivado Biogas Project.
This project was created to find a responsible and sustainable solution for dealing with the waste the factory produces and is the perfect solution as it not only treats the waste, but also offers a renewable substitute for costly and unreliable grid electricity. We are working on repeating that same process in a new purpose-built factory right here in New Zealand in the very near future.

Our factory in Kenya and the farmers who supply us with avocados are certified organic and fair trade a member of the international ECOCERT group based in France.

Different grades of bulk avocado oil
Not all our avocado oil is the same. Some are cold-pressed and become extra virgin oils, while other batches are left unrefined and raw. We supply various grades of avocado oil depending on what your use is.
Extra Virgin Avocado Oil
- Cold-pressed under 50 degrees Celsius to retain all the essential nutrients
- Use for cooking, baking, frying, and drizzling over food
- Also utilised in cosmetics
- Green in colour.
Organic Extra Virgin Avocado Oil
- Cold-pressed as above using organically grown avocado
- Use for cooking, baking, frying, and drizzling over food
- Also used in cosmetics
- Green/yellow in colour.
Refined
- Extra virgin avocado oil extracted and refined without chemicals
- Use for cooking, frying
- Also used in cosmetics
- Straw coloured pale lemon
- No overall flavour.
Organic refined
- Organic Extra virgin avocado oil extracted and refined without chemicals
- Use for cooking, frying
- Also used in cosmetics

Raw
- Virgin oil suitable for refining

Cosmetic grade
- This oil has a higher wax content so is cloudy
- Has a higher Free Fatty Acid %
- Not suitable for bottling because of appearance and flavour but ideal for cosmetic use at a cheaper price
- Use for soaps, lotions and cremes and all toiletries.
