PRODUCT CARE AND STORAGE
Olivado Products are produced and packed under
a company-exclusive, all natural process that protects the oil
against spoilage and enables an amazing 5 year shelf life. All
without the addition of any artificial ingredients or preservatives.
As our products are packed without any oxygen,
once the cap is opened it begins an oxidation process that will
begin to effect the flavor and aroma after about 2 months.
If it will take you longer than 2 months to use
the product up once opened, we do recommend refrigeration.
As refrigeration will turn the product into a
solid (like butter), it will be impossible to pour it out of the bottle
in a refrigerated state. We therefore recommend that if you
do refrigerate it, you do so in a tupperware tub. This will
enable you to spoon out the nessasary amount for cooking, as well
as for returning it to a liquid form. You can also use it in
this form as a butter substitute. Much healthier than
butter and absolutely delicious!.
As with all extra virgin oils, you should store it
in a cool, dry place, away from heat and direct sunlight (no
stovetop storage!)
